There are three different types of English/Language Arts classes offered at Carroll Middle School.
- Language Arts (Grade Level/College Ready)
- Advanced Language Arts - open enrollment
- Gifted and Talented Language Arts - open to any student who has been identified as GT

The following Math classes are offered at CMS:
7th Grade

* Class taken for High School Credit. Please note the grade earned does not factor into the High School GPA.

Carroll Medical Academy
Carroll Medical Academy is an advanced high school academic program for students who are interested in pursuing careers within the medical field. CMA is designed for students in grades 9-12 who have met specific program criteria via a district selection process. Carroll Medical Academy offers an intense math and science curriculum that encourages students to maximize the number of Advanced Placement (AP) science and math courses during their high school years. Carroll Medical Academy continues to enrich and encourage participants as they work toward their goals in the medical field of science.
In addition to the challenging curriculum; students are provided opportunities for specialized training such as CPR and first aid certification. Medical professionals are invited as guest lecturers and students interact with the professionals individually during an annual career day. Students also visit medical facilities and apply for unique summer medical internship opportunities. Senior CMA students enroll in a spring internship course where they shadow mentors in a variety of medical practices within our area.

Advanced Science Considerations
Carroll Medical Academy
