Electives

Elective classes provide CMS students with enrichment opportunities that go beyond the core academic curriculum. Carroll  Middle School provides a variety of popular choices for elective classes. You can read a course description by viewing the Academic Planning Guide. 

We offer the choice of yearlong electives and semester electives. 

Semester Electives: These electives are introductory courses that allow you to get a sample of various subjects.Students may not repeat a semester elective. 

Yearlong Electives: These electives are for the entire school year and allow you to dive deep into the subject. Some yearlong electives are offered to both 7th and 8th grade students, while some are only offered to 8th graders.
