Theatre Arts

This course is activity centered to help students acquire lifelong skills such as critical thinking, self-discipline, group cooperation, sensory and emotional awareness and self-confidence. This course includes technical theatre, including scenic, costume, property, lighting, sound, publicity, and make up design for the stage. Students will focus intensively on various acting styles, technical theatre elements, and theatre production.  Students will relate theatre to history, society, and culture, and they will learn to critically interpret play scripts.
